The current system was designed and conceived for a different age 18th / 19th century. In the intellectual culture of the enlightenment economic circumstance (industrial revolution). 
From my point of veiw I disagree with the fact that they tought public education that was payed with taxes wont benifit many street children to lern how to read and write and why should we waste our time on them. I think that every single child should get the chance to get free education no matter what.
I do agree about there being two types of people acadmic and non acadmic as in smart people and non smart people but the fact is some brilliant people dont know or think they are not smart becouse they have been jugded by a particular veiw of the mined. 
I also agree that schools do run like factories. For example there are separate facilities and separate subjects.
 They try to educate children by batches and by age groups.
 It should not matter how old they are but yet they fined it being so important, knowing some kids are better then others same age but differant disapalains or differant time of day depending on how their mined work. Some work better in small or big groups or by them self. 
Creativity is from the mined and how you tend to express that mined, Also how it explores it can not come from a book or a bored you look at an that is my point of veiw.
